TASTING NOTES

APPEARANCE
A wine of high intensity, deep dark red with garnet hues. Dense legs with a slow fall.

NOSE
The nose is intense: black pepper, dried plums, dried figs, tomato leaf. A secondary note presents descriptors of roasted coffee, dark chocolate, smoky bell pepper, and fresh notes of menthol and eucalyptus.

PALATE
A welcoming entry; in the mid-palate medium-low acidity and generous tannins evoking dried red fruits, coffee and pepper, in balance with the alcohol. A wine of great persistence with a meaty character and a long finish.

An elegant, well-balanced wine of good body and acidity that promises a long and interesting evolution in the bottle, though equally enjoyable now.

Full-bodied red wines with ripe fruit flavours and good acidity pair wonderfully with main courses such as lean meats and stews; served slightly cooler than recommended they also complement chocolate and red-fruit desserts.
