CASA BOHER
GRAN CORTE 2018
TECHNICAL DATA
ORIGIN & WINEMAKING
25% Malbec, 25% Merlot, 25% Cabernet Sauvignon and 25% Cabernet Franc from Valle de Uco, Mendoza, Argentina.
The vineyard has an alluvial, sandy-loam to sandy soil, poor in organic matter and nutrients, shallow, with abundant river cobblestones on the surface and at depth.
This wine aged in first-use French oak (60%) and American oak (40%) barrels for 20 months. After ageing, a selection of barrels was made to assemble the blend of 7,800 bottles. Once bottled, the wine remained a further 12 months in bottle.

TASTING NOTES
APPEARANCE
A wine of deep ruby red with garnet highlights. Pronounced legs, with a slow, elegant fall.
NOSE
High intensity; the first aromas recall vanilla, roasted coffee, and mint. These are followed by notes of ripe fruits such as plums, raisins, and sour cherries, then caramel, toast, and spices such as pepper.
PALATE
A pleasant entry, with present acidity in balance with the alcohol. Intense, velvety tannins from extended ageing. Honest and harmonious in flavour, as its aromas suggest. Persistent, savoury, with a long and pleasant finish.
Full-structured red wines with ripe fruit flavours, wood notes, and good acidity pair beautifully with main courses of lean meats and stews. At a lower serving temperature they also complement chocolate desserts and red berry confections.
