CASA BOHER
GRAN MALBEC 2018
TECHNICAL DATA
ORIGIN & WINEMAKING
100% Malbec from Valle de Uco, Mendoza, Argentina.
In Valle de Uco, our estate has an alluvial, sandy-loam to sandy soil, poor in organic matter and nutrients, shallow, with abundant river cobblestones on the surface and at depth. For this carefully crafted wine, an exclusive parcel of just 30 rows in the southern block was selected, set in the highest, westernmost part of the estate.
Aged in first-use French oak barrels for 24 months. A selection of barrels was made to assemble the final blend of 3,150 bottles and 500 Magnum bottles. The wine was then cellared in bottle for a further 5 years.

TASTING NOTES
APPEARANCE
Deep ruby red with violet highlights that reflect its evolution and extended bottle ageing. Visually striking, with dense, slow-falling legs.
NOSE
The first aromatic impression recalls dark chocolate. With aeration, the wine unfolds new layers of complexity, revealing notes of black pepper and delicate minty tones, alongside aromas of ripe plum, blackberries, and subtle black truffle. Towards the finish, elegant tertiary aromas emerge, evoking prune, tobacco, and sweet spices.
PALATE
A broad, vibrant entry, with firm yet elegant tannins that lend structure without losing freshness. The mid-palate is intense, deep, and balanced, combining structure with a silky texture born of its extended bottle ageing. The finish is long and persistent, with notes that echo the nose: chocolate, tobacco, and spices, leaving a complex and highly expressive impression.
An elegant, structured wine with great ageing potential. Its evolution in bottle not only adds complexity but preserves its freshness and energy, offering a living, deep wine in constant development.
