TASTING NOTES
APPEARANCE
A red wine of deep dark red with violet hues. High viscosity. Pronounced legs.
NOSE
On the nose it presents high-intensity aromas: ripe fruits such as plums, mulberries and morello cherries; menthol notes; spice; and florals such as violets. Towards the finish, tertiary notes of chocolate, vanilla and a subtle hint of leather emerge.
PALATE
A welcoming entry; in the mid-palate, generous, well-structured and with good acidity. Round tannins evoking fruity, chocolatey and menthol flavours. Frank and true to the nose, with balanced alcohol. A wine of good structure and persistence. The lingering aftertaste recalls ripe red fruits with a long finish.
Full-bodied red wines with ripe fruit flavours and good acidity pair wonderfully with main courses such as lean meats and stews; served slightly cooler than recommended they also complement chocolate and red-fruit desserts.
