CASA BOHER FINCAS
Alto Agrelo Malbec 2022
TECHNICAL DATA
ORIGIN & WINEMAKING
100% Malbec from the IG Alto Agrelo, Luján de Cuyo, Mendoza, at 1,100 m a.s.l.
Only 16,000 bottles.
SOIL & IRRIGATION
In Alto Agrelo, Luján de Cuyo, we work with alluvial soils; the texture is sandy-loam to silty, with the presence of stones of varying sizes from 30 cm depth downwards — soils somewhat heavier than those at the Valle de Uco property. The higher percentage of silt means greater water and nutrient retention.
With respect to climatic characteristics, this zone has higher temperatures, a marked diurnal temperature range, and good air drainage owing to the slope of the terrain. Grape maturity is reached approximately 15 to 20 days earlier than at San Pablo for the same variety.
Drip irrigation is fed by underground bore water.

TASTING NOTES
APPEARANCE
A red wine of deep ruby red with violet hues. High intensity. Defined, fast-falling legs.
NOSE
On the nose it presents aromas of ripe fruit such as plums, cherries, mulberries and figs, along with milky aromas of strawberry yoghurt.
PALATE
On the palate, the entry is gentle; the mid-palate shows good acidity in harmony with the alcohol and round tannins. Persistent and frank in flavour. A long, delicate finish.
Full-bodied red wines with a fruity flavour and good acidity pair wonderfully with red meat and pasta dishes; or, served slightly cooler than recommended, can be enjoyed on their own.
